What Managing 5 Brands Taught Me About Design Systems
Running communication for multiple brands at once forced me to think in systems, not one-offs.

When you manage communication for five brands simultaneously, you cannot design everything from scratch. You survive by building systems — reusable structures, templates, and patterns that flex per brand while staying efficient to produce. That constraint taught me the core value of design systems long before I called them that: consistency at scale, faster delivery, and quality that holds up under pressure. It's the same thinking that powers good product design. A strong system doesn't limit creativity; it frees you to spend energy on the decisions that are actually unique to each problem.
